Privacy Policy
Today Energy is designed around data minimization. Health and wellness calculations are performed primarily on your device, without an account or advertising profile.
Health data access
With your permission, Today Energy reads selected Apple Health data that may include sleep, resting heart rate, heart rate variability, respiratory rate, wrist temperature, blood oxygen where available, workouts, active energy, and steps. Availability depends on your hardware, software, usage, region, and permissions.
Today Energy does not sell Health data, use it for advertising, or send raw Health measurements to general analytics services.
On-device processing and storage
The app compares permitted observations with your personal recent baseline to create a general-wellness recommendation, confidence level, and deterministic explanation. Today Energy stores daily derived readiness results and optional check-ins needed to provide history and widgets. Health observations and personal baselines are calculated on device and are not copied into a remote database. The app does not copy your complete Apple Health database.
Widgets and Apple Watch
A limited derived snapshot may be shared between the iPhone app, widgets, and Apple Watch using Apple-provided app group and connectivity technologies. This snapshot is used only to show Today Energy status and is protected by the operating system.
Optional check-ins
Optional energy, soreness, stress, and feeling-unwell check-ins stay within Today Energy’s local data store and may influence the deterministic recommendation. They are not used to diagnose a condition.
Analytics and advertising
The current release does not transmit product analytics to Today Energy or to a third-party analytics provider. Development builds may log generic event names locally for testing, but those logs do not contain Health measurements, readiness scores, check-in answers, workout details, or health conditions. Health data is never used for advertising, and the app does not include behaviorally targeted advertising.
Purchases
Subscriptions are processed by Apple through StoreKit. Apple may process purchase, billing, tax, and transaction information under Apple’s own privacy policy. Today Energy receives only the entitlement and transaction information required to unlock Premium features.
Permissions and your choices
You can decline or revoke individual Apple Health permissions at any time in the Health app. Today Energy treats unavailable or revoked data as missing and displays reduced confidence instead of fabricating values.
Deletion and retention
Use Delete Data in Today Energy settings to remove the app’s local derived store and widget snapshot. Uninstalling the app removes its local container. These actions do not delete data held by Apple Health; manage Apple Health records separately in the Health app.
Children
Today Energy is a general-wellness product for users able to understand and consent to Health data access and is not directed to young children. We do not knowingly create advertising profiles for children.

Today Energy is not a medical device and does not diagnose, prevent, monitor, treat, or cure disease. Recommendations are informational general-wellness guidance and should not replace professional advice.
Changes
We may update this policy when the product or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be updated when a revised policy is published.
